Donor Spotlight: Dave and Heather Hall
Honoring a Family Tradition by Investing in Future Celtics
For the Hall family, Providence Catholic is a connection that spans generations. Heather Hall ’91 first experienced the school as a student. Years later, she and her husband, Dave, chose that same foundation for their three children: Mason ’20, Gavin ’24 and Chloe ’26.
Across those experiences, Providence has represented a shared commitment to faith, family and helping young people discover who they are called to become. Today, the Halls are giving back to help ensure that future Celtics have those same opportunities.
“For our family, Providence has meant being part of a community that values faith, family, and a strong sense of belonging,” they shared.
As both alumni and parents of alumni, the Halls have seen how a Providence education reaches beyond the classroom. The Augustinian values of Truth, Unity and Love reflect the foundation they wanted for their children, guiding their academic, spiritual and personal growth.
For the Halls, that foundation comes to life through the relationships students build and the encouragement they receive throughout their high school years. They describe a community where faculty and staff take a personal interest in students’ success, helping them recognize their potential and supporting them as they work toward it.
“Providence wants to see you succeed and will champion you along the way in reaching your full potential,” they explained.
That sense of partnership has been especially meaningful to their family. They value an education that encourages kindness, respect, compassion and service alongside academic achievement. They also appreciate the role Providence has played in helping their children strengthen their relationship with God, build meaningful friendships and learn to lead with integrity.
“It is more than an education; it is a partnership between our family and the school in shaping our children’s hearts, minds, and futures.”
Their decision to support Providence grows from gratitude for those experiences and an awareness that others helped make them possible.
Each member of their family’s Providence journey benefited from the generosity and commitment of those who came before them. Giving back offers the Halls a way to continue that tradition, creating opportunities for students they may never meet but whose futures they can help shape.
“In supporting something bigger than ourselves, we are investing in the next generation of students that walk the halls of Providence,” they shared. “Tomorrow starts today, therefore there is no better time to give than now.”
Their commitment also reflects a broader belief in the importance of Catholic education. For the Halls, its value includes the knowledge students gain, the character they develop and the responsibility they learn to feel toward others.
They believe Catholic schools help young people grow academically, spiritually, morally and socially, preparing them to become thoughtful servant leaders. Supporting that work is an investment in the families and communities those students will one day serve.
Having watched their own children move through Providence, the Halls particularly appreciate the school’s commitment to educating the whole person – mind, body and spirit. They see that preparation in graduates who leave with faith, compassion and a sense of purpose to guide their next steps.
“When students leave Providence, they carry with them so much more than what their diploma indicates,” they reflected.
As their family’s connection to Providence continues, the Halls hope their support will encourage others to consider the legacy they can help build. They recognize that the school’s strength today reflects generations of people who chose to contribute, serve and believe in its mission.
Now, they are helping carry that responsibility forward.
“Providence is what it is today because of what others contributed before us,” they shared. “In paying it forward, we are embodying the essence of ‘Once a Celtic, Always a Celtic’ and we hope that others will join us in this calling.”
Providence Catholic is deeply grateful to the Hall family for their generosity, their commitment to Catholic education and their desire to make the Providence experience possible for future generations. Their story reflects the lasting connection between a family and a school – and the possibilities created when gratitude inspires action.
Thank you, Hall family, for helping build a strong future for our Celtics.
