GENERAL:
SHADOW DAYS…There
WILL NOT be a shadow day this Friday, March 19th.
The next available shadow date is Friday, March 26th.
Parents must call Mrs. Ellingson to schedule a visit.
SOPHOMORES:
The JOSTENS Representative will be here during the lunch periods
on FRIDAY, MARCH 19th, to take ring orders. A $50 deposit is
needed when placing the order.
ACT Workshop Make-up Classes:
Math – Tuesday – March 16
English – Wednesday – March 17
Science – Tuesday – March 23
Reading – Wednesday – March 24
Classes will be held in Library Classroom #1 from 2:50 – 5:50
PM
Juniors:
Your ACTS are due this Friday, March 19! Start getting
your signatures NOW! Don’t wait until Friday. Early
submissions will be accepted in room 106.
The Princeton Review is hosting a National Testing Day on
Saturday, March 20. This is another good opportunity to take a
full-length, practice ACT or SAT under actual testing
conditions and also receive a personal, detailed score report.
Please stop by the Guidance Office for a list of times and
testing locations. You must pre-register at
www.PrincetonReview.com/NationalTesting Day or by
calling 1-800-2REVIEW. Space is limited, so register today!

PROM: ATTENTION JUNIORS AND SENIORS:
Formally Modern Tuxedo has promotions available for tuxedos;
please stop by the Main Office for further details.
3rd Quarter Dress Down Day
is Friday, March 19. Students may be out of uniform if they
purchase a dress down sticker for $1 during lunches Wednesday
and Thursday.
Attention AYM members:
Do not forget that your ten outside service hours are due to
Ms. Duffy by March 31st.
The AYM Lent Food Drive
is going on now through Wednesday, March 17th! Bags
for nonperishable food items are located in the Main Office,
Pastoral Office, and Theology classrooms. Thank you in advance
for your donations!
International Club Members
– Our next meeting will be on Thursday March 18 at 2:45 in Room
24. See you there!
MOCK TRIAL TEAM:
A final meeting for the Mock Trial Team is scheduled for
Wednesday, March 17 at 3:00 p.m. in LIB1. The Mock Trial Team
polos and letters will be distributed and we will celebrate the
season with The Ultimate Ice Cream Experience from Coldstone
Creamery!
Chess Club:
There will be a Chess
Club meeting after school on Thursday March 18th. Now, Chess
Club will also include the board game Risk. If you are
interested in playing Chess or Risk, come to Computer Lab 2 on
Thursday after school. If you have any questions, please see Mr.
Devine.
“DOODLE 4 GOOGLE”
Voting This Thursday 3/18 and Friday
3/19 during the lunch periods! Please check out the art
students’ entries for the “DOODLE 4 GOOGLE” contest in which
students have created a new GOOGLE design. Providence will be
sending 6 designs to GOOGLE for consideration in this
competition. The top 6 vote-getters will be sent, so vote for
your favorite design. Good Luck Celtic Artists! The possible
entries will be displayed in the cafeteria beginning Tuesday
3/16.
LINCOLN-WAY ART SHOW:
There will be 20 works of art from Providence art students
displayed at the Lincoln Way Art Show this Saturday March 20th.
Come out and support your Celtic Artists!
Sunday, March 21, Providence Catholic Winter Guard will
be performing at the Lincoln-Way East Winter Guard Contest. The
show starts at 10:00 AM....Providence Catholic performs at 10:45
AM. There will be a lot of exciting Color Guards performing
throughout the day!!! If you ever wanted to check out Winter
Guard, this is the show!!! Come support the Providence
Catholic Winter Guard!!!

JV Wrestlers:
There were three letters left at the banquet on Monday night.
If one of them is yours, please come and claim it in room 104.
Attention Ice Hockey Players:
There will be a meeting for all returning and other interested
hockey players on Wednesday, March 24th at 2:45 PM in
Room 114. Coach Iaciancio and Coach Oliver will explain Spring
and Summer Hockey at this meeting. See Coach Oliver with any
questions.
BASEBALL:
The Celtics will open up their 2010 season this Friday, March 19
at home vs. Plainfield East at 4:30. Come out and enjoy 70
degrees and some baseball on Friday and support your CELTICS!
