Welcome!
My name is Ben Thompson and I am entering my first season as the girls' head tennis coach here at PCHS.  I'm very excited to be working with such a talented and hard working group of girls.  I also teach tennis as a teaching pro at Challenge Fitness in Lockport, IL and have previously played at Eastern Illinois Univeristy and University of St Francis, having been the assistant coach for USF in the 08-09 season. 

Victoria Strand is my assistant coach and  will be primarily working with the Frosh/Soph team helping to develop and strengthen our program. She is a graduate of the University  of St. Francis and played all four years on their tennis team.  We are very lucky to have Coach Strand aboard our program. 

Season Outlook (Varsity):
Returning two state qualifiers from the 2008 season, we look to improve on our 6th place ESCC finish of last year.  Our five returning seniors are Emily Becker (Captain), Michelle Maloney (Captain), Alex Banathy, Jordan Stone, and Julia Farnesi.  We are looking to have our seniors step up and help lead our team through this fall season. Our other seven players are made up all all juniors, including: Amanda Noonan, Leila Shinn, Alanna Murray, Brittany Jackson, Morgan Hartz, Kathleen Kennedy, and Cathy Ferrill.

Season Outlook (Fresh/Soph):
I am very excited for this 2009 season to get underway. The girls are already showing improvements from last year and things can only get better as the season rolls along. We have 5 returning players including: Alexandria Lynch, Andrea Di Cola, Irene DelRio, Madeline Guidarelli, and Stephanie Antoniolli. We have have 3 new sophomores, including: Amanda Sharkey, Julia Patzin, and Katie Wallace. Our other four players are freshman including: Jamie Noonan, Kristen Collins, Maeve Pell and Monica Werner.
